Access to Fort Rucker
****If traveling from overseas, it is important to coordinate your visit prior to arrival as the museum sits within the gates of Fort Rucker, an active military installation. Prior to arrival, please contact the post Provost Marshal Office for further guidance.****
All visitors to Fort Rucker, ages 16 and older, must have photo identification. State issued identification cards, military dependent or retiree cards, driver's licenses, passports, or other official issue ID cards with photo will be accepted.
Vehicle operators must present a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance in order to drive on Fort Rucker.
Depending on the Homeland Security Advisory System and the Department of Defense security levels, access to Fort Rucker may be restricted at times. Before traveling to the Aviation Museum for a visit, it may be prudent to call the Museum and ask about access restrictions to the installation.
