Access to Fort Novosel

If you are traveling from overseas, it is essential to coordinate your visit prior to arrival as the museum sits within the gates of Fort Novosel, an active military installation. Prior to arrival, please get in touch with the Fort Novosel Provost Marshal's Office for further guidance at 334-255-2511

All visitors to Fort Novosel, ages 16 and older, must have a photo ID. State-issued identification cards, military dependent or retiree cards, driver's licenses, passports, or other official-issued ID cards with photos are accepted.

YOUR ID MUST BE REAL ID COMPLIANT OR HAVE A SECOND FORM OF ID TO VERIFY YOUR IDENTITY.

Vehicle operators must present a valid driver's license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance in order to enter Fort Novosel.

Depending on the Homeland Security Advisory System and the Department of Defense security levels, access to Fort Novosel may sometimes be restricted. Before traveling to the US Army Aviation Museum, it may be prudent to call the Fort Novosel Visitor Center and ask about access restrictions to the installation at 334-255-0607.
